Fashion Cures a la Mode Ambassadorial Runway Show

Fashion Cures a la Mode recently hosted a runway show in support of Ovarian Cancer Canada. Five Canadian designers participated at the event includes Yves Jean Lacasse, Kania Couture, Micalla, Zoran Dobric and Nadya Toto.

Since Ottawa is the capital of Canada, we have ambassador residences for a lot of countries here in the city. That is one of the cool things about the city. The runway show was hosted at the Barbados Ambassador’s residence. The whole house was a runway as the models walked through room to room showcasing the designers’ new creations. It was a very intimate setting and definitely different than the usual runway show!

Most designers showcased ready to wear that one can wear on regular basis. Some of the trends for this season are chunky accessories and light flowy fabrics. Colourful prints were also seen throughout the show and of course, little black dresses are always in season.
