Suri should be on Project Runway

If you ever wonder why sometimes Katie Holmes dress like a toddler here is your answer-Because often her freaking toddler Suri dresses her! As Katie recently told New York Magazine:

"I grew up the youngest of five, so there were a lot of hand-me-downs that I would sort of change up. And Suri and I do that now with her clothes. Or rather, she does it. She says, 'I want this sleeve cut,' and it’s like, 'Okay, we’ll cut it.' She picks out all of her own clothes and has since she was 1½. Tom and I went to the Met ball a couple of years ago, and I had this beautiful red gown and these royal-blue shoes that I wasn’t planning on wearing, but Suri made me put them on and so I was like, 'Okay, I trust you.

Dressing up to be “toddler approved” is kind of refreshing. Because unlike the rest of us, toddlers won’t hold back saying that you look like a witch, or that you look fug in those pants. None of that “oh that looks so good on you!!” like those Aritzia retailers say to convince you to blow $80 on some frompy sweater that make you look like a homeless person. But hey, if I gotta eat gooey food and watch Dora the Explorer all day I’d be a straight forward b*tch too. It’s not like I'd have anything else to loose.

  4. The fact that Suri tells her mom what to wear doesn't bother me.
The fact that her mother doesn't tell her daughter what to wear on the other hand, does bother me.
Of course, every girl at her age dreams about putting make-up on and wearing heels but parents don't actually allow them to wear any of these. She needs to dress up accordinng to her age

  12. Ahahaha! I love your posts, always clever—and accurate! Oh, when my son was a toddler, he went shopping with my wife and a friend of hers. The friend tried on a yellow bikini and asked him how she looked. He told her she looked like a chicken!!! LOL! My wife tried to cover it by claiming he said that just because of the yellow. But it wasn’t. I wish I had a picture, you’d say she looks like a chicken too!

If Suri is not already insufferable, she will be.

  37. I totally heard how Tom and Katie were gushing about Suri dressing herself since she was little. I didn't know she told Katie what to wear but whatever works! LOL. Suri always seems to be taken pictures of. I guess it's because most people in Hollywood with kids try to keep their kids away from the Paparazzi?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Suri tells her what to wear?! Talk about a pushover of a parent. Where's the discipline?

    ReplyDelete
  39. You are sooo funny!!! Can't stop laughing at your comments about toddlers.

  40. suri cruise is the most adorable thing EVER

  41. Such a cutie! Sounds a bit like my little girl and myself, except I let her talk and voice her opinion however she wants(part of training her to be more confident and eloquent!), but I rarely listen, unless her opinion is also supported by her Daddy. ;P Yep, Hubby is my biggest fashion 'adviser'! :D
