Taylor Swift Wrote A Song About John Mayer

There were speculations that John Mayer and Taylor Swift hooked up back when they did the duet “Half of my heart” last year but it was never confirmed… Until now! Kinda. According to Popeater, Taylor has a song on her new album called “Dear John”. From the sound of the lyrics, Taylor might as well name the song “Thanks for the hit and run, John Mayer, you douchebag”. Here is a piece of it:

"Dear John
I see it all now that you're gone
Don't you think I was too young
To be messed with

The girl in the dress
Cried the whole way home
I should've known.

It was wrong
Don't you think nineteen's too young
To be played
By your dark, twisted games
When I loved you so.

My mother accused me of losing my mind
But I swore I was fine
You'll add my name to your long list of traitors
Who don't understand
And I'll look back in regret
I ignored what they said 'Run as fast as you can.'"

While most of Taylor’s music video for her songs can pretty much be replaced by an animated fairy princess singing to a litter of newborn kittens twirling around with her magic wand, she sort of reminds me of this chick I used to know where after she got dumped she would go vigilante on her Facebook and MSN status with messages like “I HATE MY LIFE I JUST LOST MY LOVE I FEEL SO ALONE WAHHHH WAHHH WAAAHHHH!”. So she's crazy, but at least she put on a good show.

And really, EVERYONE knows that John Mayer is the type who will tell you how special you are until you sleep with them then never hear from them again. But at least it gives Taylor stuff to write about. Cuz how boring would a song be if the lyrics were like “ohhh ohhh, I’m happily married, ooooh yeaaa, with two kids and doing their laundry, mmm hmm, baking an apple pie this weekend”. That would be the worst country song ever.
