2nd Annual Suhaag Wedding & Lifestyle Show

Thanks to Starfish Events, Sofie, Anthony and I had our own (el cheapo) version of "Eat Pray Love" at the 2nd Annual Suhaag Wedding & Lifestyle Show at the Hampton Inn Ottawa Convention Center yesterday. Needless to say, we sort of stuck out from the crowd a little- Anthony and I were the wrong kind of Asian and Sophie.. she's not even the right continent.

We had a great time checking out the wedding fashion show which consists of beautiful East Indian gowns from Herz N Hiz, Chandan Fashion, Oriental Costumes and other vendors as well as taste some delicious east indian crusine by Ishina and Haveli. By the end the show it made me want to actually go experience the real "Eat Pray Love".

Here are some other pictures at the convention. I had the chance to take a picture with Simran Kaur Mundi, Miss India Universe of 2008. Simran is really pretty and really tall! In the picture she was wearing Uggs and I was wearing 3 inch heels.

  4. Is Sophie wearing heels??? You both look great--and I bet the cameraman did too! =)

Regarding the CB, I used to run interference for a former best friend. She was cute and the world is full of weirdos--which I know you must experience regularly. It really used to tickle me to see the expressions on the guys faces, some angry and some sadly pleading with me to get lost. I thought one guy was going to cry--he was a temp and it was his last day in our office...I think he wanted to profess his love.

  15. Models, they all have to be tall. I had a classmate that's 176 cm and when she wore heels, she made me look like an elf, or like Quasimodo. I like these wedding gowns, very colorful and very refreshing to look at them them since they are so different from the traditional white wedding dresses we see all the time.
Miss India is really pretty, but you are just as gorgeous.
