The Goo Goo Dolls In Ottawa

After harassing BOBFM numerous times and Al probably rolled his eyes so much that his contacts popped out, it was nice that he eventually invited me a private Goo Go Dolls lunch time performance at CTV Ottawa studio on Friday. Unfortunately Johnny Rzeznik was absent from being sick. Since they were in Montreal the day before it's probably from watching too much French dubbed English TV shows- it's understandable, as watching those dubbed shows always make me vomit a little in my mouth. It was still extremely nice to meet and watch Robby and Mike perform from 2 feet away.

The Goo Goo Dolls put on an amazing performance that night at the NAC despite Johnny Rzeznik not feeling well. It was such an experience to hear songs you grew up with live and to sing along to every song- even all the new ones such as "Sweetest Lie", "As I Am" and "Notbroken". And of course they played "Black Balloon" and "Here is Gone" and their previous hits, amazingly .

Johnny also looked great and glowing like there's a Johnny at the end of every rainbow. You know the world will stop spinning if he change his hair or stop performing. And if Johnny ever need a full-time servant to lick off his phlegm on stage, I will be the first to submit my "Goo phlegm licker" job application.

Special thanks to Al and Milky from BOBFM for making my dream come true and of course the Goo Goo Dolls for a great show.

  29. HUGE fan always do the craziest thing!! but forehead tatoo?? you're too funny Julie..

Well, since i wasn't born on their age, i'm not really familiar with this band. the only song that i know is just "Irish" the song that Avril Lavigne used as her first dance's song in her wedding party (Yeah, they divorced now and really wonder will she use this song when she get marry again!) but this song has already proven that they're such a huge band with another great songs as well. i'm starting to have my curiosity after read this post. maybe i have to start to listen the other songs and let see maybe i'll become another HUGE fan like you! but, for forehead tatoo?? i have to think twice!! LOL:))
