Parents Tell Lea Michele To Put On A Sweater

Lea Michele from Glee has as much charisma as a can of Spam but that didn’t stop her from performing at the Super Bowl and looking hot with 1/3 of her exposed boobs on Cosmo's March cover. Unfortunately, some parents screamed at her to put a sweater on and stop taking trampy pictures. As reported on FOX news:

“I think Lea Michele is sending the wrong message. She plays such a ‘good girl’ on ‘Glee’ and a lot of kids look up to her persona. Then she poses very provocatively on two magazine covers which makes my almost-13-year-old son very confused and offended. I find it frustrating as a parent who is trying to teach right from wrong to their kids and then you have things like this happen which is showing middle schoolers things like sex sells and all that goes along with that.”

Lea Michele is 23 years old, so legally speaking she is entitled to expose her cutlets anywhere. As if Cosmo which regularly plaster words such as “SEX” and “NAKED” and “EROTIC” on their monthly cover is thought of as church appropriate to begin with. So instead of complaining about the cover, the FOX parent should have written Cosmo a thank-you letter on how the tingling feeling from the "confused" 13 year old son actually caused his thingy-things to drop and knocked him into puberty. You don’t need detective Duh McDuh tell you that.

  2. I think it's hilarious that that lady thinks her 13 year old son was offended by it! Confused, maybe, but offended?

  3. When I read the comment from the parent I just had to laugh...really confused almost 13 year old boy...over a hot sexy picture of Leah Michelle...Oh c´mon! You know parents need to learn that there is something called TV character and the actor...Besides its not like her character IS a role model

  4. She is totally overdoing it. So unnecessary. We get it you have boobs...now put them away or wear something with a lil more taste.

  5. lol I don't know what parents are thinking these days...just because she plays a teenager in a tv show doesn't mean that she actually is a teenager. I love her polka dot get up in the magazine spread (too racy for me though). :)

  6. I think she meant that she was offended, not her kid. Give Rachel Berry a break, when will she be able to pose? when she's 40 playing a 30 year old? I mean give it a rest. She doesn't even look that trampy here.

  7. I would feel embarrassed if my parents told me that. owell she's old enough. :)

  8. That parental comment is so strange! I think the mom needs to talk to her son...

  9. Mid-20's women playing 15-16 year-old girls in shows aimed at families with 12-16yo kids... not really surprised with such situations/comments.

  11. lol! i'm tired of seeing her cutlets too. she is definitely too full of it.

  12. It's going to be good for Lea Michele's career in the long run to be seen as sexy and not always as this wholesome teenage girl type. (See Anne Hathaway breaking away from the goody-bood Princess Diaries image for evidence.)

  13. Dayum! She is making sure she won't reek of that "good girl" image for long lol

  14. Love the pics! Not really surprised by the comments, but I think they are a bit unnecessary...

  15. LOL I bet that 13 year old boy is mortified by his parents complaining about a bit of boob making him tingling and exposing him as a cosmo reader! I have to say I'm a bit confused, some of the storylines and dialogue is aimed at a more adult audience than teens so is the 13 years olds their preferred audience or not?

  16. She is annoying on Glee though.

  17. let the woman show her cutlets if she wants to hehe :)

  18. OMG I missed you and your blog posts. You make me laugh so much!

I dislike Lea Michelle with a passion... Idk why but I just can't get over how ANNOYING she is. Not just because of her character on Glee (another show I don't like -.-")

  19. LOL It's a racy cover, that's for sure. Something you'd find in the adult magazine section of a convenience store ; )

  20. fox news needs to dissapear. she'd HARDLY be the first celebrity to post provocatively when there are young teens that could be influenced.
i agree! eminem was the shit back then. i love your blog and i'm following you as well :) xx

  21. I think compared to other covers I've seen, this is pretty tame. As parents, would it be too hard to be teaching their kids that what they see on TV/magazines/etc is so far from the expectations of real life that it's a different scale & should just be disregarded? Perhaps that lady should be questioning more why her son is reading Cosmo!

  23. LOL She does lke showing her boobs off but so does every 20something year old female star.. I think sometimes she tries a little "too hard" like in the GQ spread but hey, whatever floats her boat.

  24. i didnt think she was a role model to kids D: I think she has a baby face and doesnt really suit the racy photos XD

  25. I somehow doubt the 13-yr old son was "offended" lol!!

  26. Hey =)

Sigh. Lea Michelle looks as awkward and out of place (sometimes) as walking in Louis Vuttion store with a whole KNOCK-OFF LV outfit. And if we're being completely honest a sweater really isn't needed. I mean, what does she have to cover up??? Most of THAT is either photoshoot or extra-extra-extra padding. As for the parent ----- Raise your child and be their example, don't allow Hollywood to do it.

  27. Middle schoolers don't already know that sex is used to sell things?

The Fox mom could be telling the truth. One time a friend and I were hanging out in a skeezy neighbor's garage because he was repairing a cool ATV. The guy was a jerk and we both knew it. But the ATV was cool and his wife was hot, so we hung out there sometimes. Anyway, one day the guy said something and laughed. I didn't understand what he said, so I think I grunted and shook my head--like any 14 year-old boy would do.

After we left, my friend started crying--because he didn't understand what the guy said. I told him I didn't either, but who cares what he says anyway??? Through his tears, my friend says, "You did understand...and I'm going to tell my mom". I explained why that was a bad idea, but the little punk did it anyway. His mom gave me the stink eye for weeks--I guess because I was "in on it"??? That was the beginning of the end of our friendship...over what may or may not have been a crude comment made by a moron.

Having said all that, if her son truly is confused, that's a different problem and it has nothing to do with the actress.

And just for the record, Lea is another actress I do not find attractive--and I swear I am not confused in the least. ;P

    E same time...rare combination!

  29. Oh please- I think she looks classy and sexy! Maybe you shouldn't let your kid read Cosmo- not exactly a 13 yr old mag! Sigh I wish I could wing (and look) as good as her!

    ReplyDelete
  30. LOL...that's true!

Man, she lost a lot of weight. She looks good!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hmmm...she looks good and since I'm in the 1% of the population that doesn't watch Glee, I can't comment on the controversy xD

Poor young boy...hope he gets to understand why is Lea michelle is as confused like him!

  35. SHE'S HOTTT ! in a non slutty way :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Meh! She won't be the first one (or last) to try to shed their good girl image. I just wish she were so obvious about it!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I don't think she's that pretty.... she's kind of bleh, actually.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Honestly, probably part of the reason she chooses to pose like this is because it's so different from her on-screen persona. That's why it's called ACTING!

    ReplyDelete
  39. i'm scared to be a parent someday. that's a little random but true. i hate complaining parents!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Um yeah, the parent totally failed to see the magazine is a sex rag for 20-something-year-old single chicks too. Hmmm...

If I was a mom to that 13-year-old boy right now and he told me he was "confused and offended" by her hot photo, I would resign myself to the knowledge that I either have a closeted gay son or a closeted religious nutjob son. And I would pray it was not the latter. Ha.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Every time I look at her I keep thinking there's something wrong with her face... the nose? The jaw...? I don't know, I'M SO CONFUSED !!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. She looks the same in EVERY picture! lol and her boobs are soooo photoshopped they look like a mans chest! haha

    ReplyDelete
  43. Her character on glee is so annoying but she does have a great voice. lol at the parent's comment "confused and offended"? I don't think so

    ReplyDelete
  44. I agree with those who are saying that the parent's comment is weird. Maybe kids shouldn't be basing their role models on fictional TV characters, they will just end up being disappointed.

I think Lee is a beautiful young lady who has every right to show off her tits.

    ReplyDelete
  45. You're such a brilliant writer, you just tell it like it is! Love it, but I have to agree to some level with the FOX mom, it is hard to find good role models in the media now a days, so it is heartbreaking when someone blessed with a public voice decides to be a not so good role model (I'm not talking Lea Michele here, her pictures aren't that bad, I'm talking a lot of stars in general). As for me, my role model will always be Nancy Drew. Although fictional, she's the smartest gal, always dressed impeccably AND goes to Sunday service in almost every book :)

  46. LMAO, such a funny post. I'm not too big on Lea Michelle, but I can see the appeal she has. However, you have quite the sass. I like I like. Thanks for leaving such a kind comment on my blog. :)

  47. OFFENDED?! i'm pretty sure the kid was really happy!!! haha, she looks really sexy and hot!
