Lookbook: Turning To Floral

IMG_0096 logo

I’m a girlie girl in many ways except when it comes to wearing floral. I’m not a big fan of floral probably because my mom had a talent of making me wear hideous floral knits for school picture days- I still get nightmares looking through my yearbooks. As I’ve said before, bruises heal but shitty pictures are for life!

Though this skirt caught my eye when I was in Taipei. It’s floral but the sheer fabric is definitely not grade school picture material! After some haggling and $10 later, cheers to my first ever floral item in my lookbook.

Special thanks to Fab Sugar for picking my floral look as their “Look of the Day” for July 13th. Looks like floral and I may reconcile after all.

  24. Florals used to remind me of old asian sofas, the ones with plastic still covering them.. but now i quite like them on clothing! :D And i'm pretty sure everyones with me when i say "SHOW US THE YEARBOOK PIC!!!!" hehehe

  25. I wasn't a floral kind of gal for a while, too. But I think, in my case, it was because I associated florals with curtains.... My husband still does, so he mocks anything I wear that has flowers.

I think you look gorgeous in that pleated skirt! (pleats- another thing I can't wear)

  26. I have my girly moments. I have my dude moments. I have my edgy moments. (Okay, most of them are edgy.)
But I have never been a fan of wearing florals.
I admire florals on other people, but not on myself. Never on myself.

Oh, you can tell from some of my school pictures (pre-14) that I didn't know it was going to be picture day. After that age I still didn't know when picture day was rolling around, but it wasn't as obvious.
