Movie Review: Crazy, Stupid, Love.

crazy stupid love 01

"Crazy, Stupid, Love." is a romantic comedy about crazy and stupid love- yes, the title actually describe the movie's story perfectly. It contains hilarious and hilariously awkward moments that you wouldn't want to watch with your parents. But like how we love watching train wrecks, the movie has that charm.

Cal (Steve Carell) played the dad whose life fell apart when Emily (Julianne Moore) asked for a divorce. Through the process Cal met Jacob (Ryan Gosling), a womanizer who taught him to smarten up and got him back together. The story contained both male and female perspective which made it enjoyable for everyone, as we could all relate.

Steve Carell played the usual honest, loving but suck at life character like in his other movies. It was nothing out of the ordinary. But it was impressive to watch Ryan Gosling come from being the hopeless romantic in "The Notebook" to a womanizer with a fabulous tanned body and washboard abs. Did I ever tell you that I oogle over ridiculously simple things?

Though this is a nice romantic comedy, it felt a bit long. I found myself checking my watch a few times. One thing for sure though, Ryan Gosling was more sizzling than my sizzling Saturday morning bacon.

I give the movie 3.5/5 Ryan Gosling abs.
