{Photos by dad and me; wearing Esprit blazer, Alexander McQueen scarf, Nella Bella clutch, Givenchy boots}
By the Inner Harbour wearing my Nella Bella clutch for a quick lunch. Minus eating too much turkey I've been secretly throwing out/donating stuff we don't use anymore as my parents hoarde everything, even empty containers! My current experiment is throwing out 3 pairs of old shoes per day, and see how long it takes before they find out shoes are dwindling- that's how much shoes we have!
I'm doing them a favour de-cluttering as if I was to ask them what I threw out they would have no clue anyway. Seriouslly, it's not the great depression anymore. #AsianParents
tartan print looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteWow 3 pairs per day! There must be quite a lot - my parents hoarde too, lol.
ReplyDeleteThose boots are amazing ^^
Great pictures of the Harbour. Your Givenchy boots are so stylish. De-cluttering is always very cleansing. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeletehow cute! I love the jacket--it pulls everything together. Were your legs cold? And its not just Asian parents that horde! My parents are up there with the best of them, and my dad is Irish and my mom is German! lol.
ReplyDeleteI understand! haha Asian parents normally save them for later use (if they have any use for later!)
ReplyDeleteHaha! Let's see when they'd notice that. Haha! You look lovely, btw. The whole look makes me think of Japanese school girl/punk of some sort :)
ReplyDeleteBesides looking awesome in your outfit, oh how I adores that skirt on your slender legs! I totally support you in throwing out old stuff! I need to help my parents to do that too! My dad's great at throwing out stuff but my moms no hope! i Have to give her a 'helping' hand to rid her overstuffed closet of things she hasnt touched in years!
ReplyDeletelove this post and your outfit! I have been doing the same thing at my parents' house during the holidays! I just took 4 bags of clothes/books/etc to Goodwill yesterday and you still can't really tell I got rid of anything. I'm sure this will be a long process.
ReplyDeleteAmazing look!! Also this view is stunning :)

Great outfit! I'm lusting after that blazer! I've been on the hunt for the perfect plaid one!
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying your trip on the west coast! It's hilarious that you posted this about your parents...I just had a long discussion with my co-workers about how asian parents hoard everything! I just de-cluttered my parents kitchen and entry way..so many old food condiments..sooo many shoes!
ReplyDeleteLove this look!

Lovely outfit and the photos are beautiful! I never knew the hoarding thing was an Asian thing. I've always been worried that it's only my parents that hoard stuff. We just donated two garbage bags full of shoes and our garage is still filled with them...
ReplyDeleteYou look hot, hun!! But knowing the fact that it's so snowy and cold in here where I live, I might consider the fact that you could get cold too! Take care hun, and have a wonderfull NYE!

ReplyDeletein love that blazer and skirt!!!!
ReplyDeleteHeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey. Long time no talk. I've been MIA for quite some time. Shortly after we last saw each other I learned I was pregnant. So with the pregnancy and the new baby, free time has been almost non-existent! Are you living in Victoria now? I went to university at UVic. I miss it a looooot. Your photos bring back memories.
ReplyDeletePS: That must be A LOT of shoes... lol.
Love, xfallenmoon
Your dad is really good at photography! Happy new year :D
ReplyDeleteahh you got those boots! love them! and the scarf is fab too! happy new year!
ReplyDeleteI really love your outfit! Happy new year! (:
ReplyDelete3 pairs a day?! Seriously? That's so funny, I can't even imagine that my parents would have that many shoes hahaha! Good luck with it, honey. I'm not such a big fan of that jacket but I *LOVE* that scarf and that clutch. Lookin' good! xo
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays!

If I threw away anything of my parents, I think they would kill me. But that's good for you that your helping your family out. Sometimes, I stare at the closet in the guest room, and I want to just throw away the old bed sheets, but my mom would have a fit if she found out.
ReplyDeleteLittle bit school girl and yes, I love a lot. :)
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing here! Love the blazer and how you style the whole look.
ReplyDeletehaha, I totally get it! Just last week, I was throwing out stuffs for my parents too. I almost flipped when I found a 10 year old microwave. Wow why would anyone keep a microwave in the storeroom for 10 years. But they are rather upset about me clearing their stuffs away, so maybe I try to be a little more discrete too. hahaha.

You look great, but cold. I hate to see you suffer for your art and our enjoyment--wait, that sounds wrong!!! But you know what I mean. Take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteMy wife is turning into a hoarder. She also wants to clutter up every inch of flat surface space. It started with her desk at work and then spread to our house. I've had to start throwing things out--and later claiming I never saw the stuff. :)
Happy New Year Julie! You got rid of some useless junk in 2012. That will give you the space you need to let 2013 be a great year.
Lovely photos, and I like the plaid + skulls. :) Yay for decluttering!
ReplyDeleteI love those boots!! They look really fab with the skirt as well. Happy 2013! xo
