DIY: Magazine Roll Coasters

The other day I was asked to babysit my neighbor's kids. I could only throw a frisbee for so long so I had them make crafts. One of the things we made was these magazine roll coasters. They are super easy: cut the magazine page into quarters, fold them, glue them, and roll them. And there you have it- above are the fruits of child labor for your eyes :P

  7. Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor would roll up the entire magazine and cut sections with a power saw--and make a terrible mess. :)

PS--It's always great to see you smiling.

  9. Hahaha I just think it's hilarious that you brought an issue of Cosmo for the kids to make magazine coasters with. Did they ask questions about the content? :P Seriously though, crafts are great for keeping children occupied.

You are really good to come up with craft work on the spot for these kids. They have certainly done a good job!

  17. Creative! Do you have any idea how to make a woven (square) basket with magazine strips or paper? From scratch rather than covering a box with paper?
