Parsley Salad

This week I'm on a detox diet. I do this one per year. The detox program I'm on basically consist not eating flour products, dairy products, booze, artificial seasoning, sugar, and limited amount of meat. It's hell for 12 days but I do feel better after.

Parsley Salad Ingredients
- A can of chick peas
- Olives
- Parsley
- Cucumber
- Red/Orange/Green bell peppers
- Lemon juice
- Thyme

Cut and combine everything in a bowl. Add lemon juice & thyme to taste.

This is one of my go-to salads and the ingredients happen to fit for this detox program. If it isn't for this salad I would hate life right now. And if reincarnation is real coming back as a rabbit would be my version of hell.

    A think a detox week is not a bad idea, perhaps to do it more often with all those artificial stuff and sugar in our food! :x

  13. Hell? I do it for the last 1 year and my life is changed! To the best I mean and I am definitely not going back! I hope you really do it for longer this time :)


    PS. The chick peas in a can is also processed food, I'd leave it out! Nothing from a packaging dear :)

  14. Good luck with the detox. You made a remark last year about re-toxing...I liked it so much I stole it. :)

    PS - No beets in the salad? My grandma wouldn't eat a salad without beets. Of course, she usually just had the beets without a salad. Not sure why I'm sharing this...I don't even like beets. But now you know my grandma did.

  20. That looks makes me want to eat a salad willingly. When it gets cold, I prefer to blend greens with some lemon, cucumber and fruit to make it go down easier. But kudos for doing a 12 day detox! Here's cheering you on...

  21. Good luck with the 12-day detox. I wish I could do the same; but let's see... Discipline is what one needs and have to bring it back to my system. LOL
