Easy Chili


I love chili and I'm a huge fan of ground beef. I know, red meat is bad for you, carcinogens, bla bla bla, thanks Doctor Oz, health magazines, mom, yadda yadda. It's still healthier than smoking or drinking. Just saying.

In the past every time I make chilli it turns into runny tomato paste. Then I worked in a restaurant and saw them putting flour into their creamy soup to thicken it. So, I did the same with my runny chili and problem solved!

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 green pepper and 1 red pepper
a can of kidney beans
a can of tomato paste
2 1/2 teaspoons of chilli paste
1 clove garlic, minced
1 bay leaf

fry the ground beef, throw all the ingredients into the slow cooker, add flour and stir until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Leave it in the slow cooker on low for 3 hours and you're done! 

Here I added a bed of romaine lettuce, cheese and avocado on the side to make it more salady. It makes the meal more light so I don't pass out in a coma after lunch.
