Peggy's Cove was all sorts of oohs and ahhs on the drive there. The area is super pretty, and it also features that infamous light house- the one that is essentially in all of those free Canada calendars you get from the bank. "That light house looks like every other light house!" Ian commented. At first I thought he was just in a bad mood due to the number of the people that constantly got in the way of our pictures, but later when I got back to the Halifax harbor I pretty much saw 3 light houses that looks like the one on Peggy's Cove. I guess there are only so many ways to build and paint a light house.
I think the accomplishment of the day must have been to take the shots of the light house without any tourists in the way. There was always that one person that had to stand right in front of the building or sit somewhere obnoxious that made it impossible to crop out. Still, despite the hordes of tour buses, the village was east-coast adorable and I can never get tired of the smell of the ocean.
